Tillie and Phoebe were missing for a week when someone reported a “reddish” dog coming up to them and then heading back to a ravine.
Search volunteers made their way to the ravine where they saw Tillie lying beside an old cistern with her head resting on the concrete wall.
They knew what that meant: Phoebe was trapped in the cistern.
