Reddit user AconyBell was on a walk with his dog Phoebe when they noticed something that definitely didn’t belong on the sidewalk.
“My dog Phoebe and I were on a walk today and she found this parakeet on the sidewalk. It was way too cold and vulnerable on the street so I have taken it in until I find the owner. This is now my dogs pet. You asked for it Phoebe!”
Phoebe is making sure the parakeet feels right at home until the owner can be found.
AconyBell has been in touch with local police and has been spreading the word in hopes of finding the bird’s true owner.
“I would be just as heartbroken if my dog went missing and would hope someone would do the same,” he said.
