The Chengdu Research Base in China may be one of the most adorable places on earth, but it also serves a huge purpose; it is vital to the survival of the giant panda. Here, they breed and nurse the endangered specie in somewhat of a panda “daycare” that is too cute for words.

With their population as small as 1,864, each cub is extremely special. The females only breed 2-3 days per year, giving birth to one cub every two years.
